The Jindal Foundation
Welcome from Supriya Jindal

To be competitive in the national and global economy, the state of Louisiana must first be competitive in the classroom.

As U.S. demand for scientists and engineers grows at a rapid pace, studies show that Louisiana students rank low in basic science and math proficiency. To prepare our children for the rewarding and high-paying jobs of the 21st century, we need to come together now and commit to making a greater investment in education.

I created the Supriya Jindal Foundation for Louisiana's Children to harness the power of technology in Louisiana classrooms, to emphasize the importance of science and math, and to help develop the Louisiana workforce of tomorrow. I hope you or your organization will consider joining me in this important effort by committing to one of our partnership levels. Louisiana has a large manufacturing base that relies on technology and skilled workers – and your partnership in this effort will serve as an investment in developing young talent across the state.

By the end of 2013, we installed interactive whiteboard technology in over 350 classrooms and in over 100 different schools across Louisiana. Additionally, through the launch of new programs, we have provided enrichment tools to roughly 260 kindergarten classrooms and ActivTables to ten kindergarten classrooms. Through these initiatives, we have brought twenty-first century learning tools into classrooms, aiding in the education of roughly 15,000 children in over 600 classrooms.  Over four years, with the investments in classrooms made to date, we will have positively impacted the education of more than 60,000 children!

Please join me in helping to spark our children’s interest in science and math, so that we can make a lasting difference in the lives of our children and in the future of our great state.
